Emily ran the Understanding Marketing Workshop this week at The Hive Enterprise Centre in Southend. The course covered what you need to know to market your business.
The workshop was interactive, with delegates having to think about their market, audience, competitors and strategy and putting a plan together to take away with them.
Emily believes it’s important at any stage of a business to take a step back and look at what you’re doing and ask yourself some fundamental questions that will ensure you are on the right track. This workshop was an ideal way of getting people to take the time out of their day and think about the direction of their business and what they wanted out of it.
The course was attended by business owners, prospective start-ups as well as team members in various roles within larger organisations. All of whom got a lot out of the two hour workshop – a whistle stop tour of marketing.
Have a look at some of the feedback we got from the course:
A great day of getting the creative juices flowing at the marketing workshop today. Great to share good marketing practice.
Adele Hagon, Flowline Ltd.
I am just writing to say thank you for putting on the workshop. I really enjoyed it and l learned stuff too! The best combination.
It was informative, clear and well presented. And unlike many courses there were some real practical things to take away from it, I could see the people attending actually using them – I certainly will be.
Finally, you came across as very trustworthy, knowledgeable and experienced.
I hope we do run into each other again, and I will certainly bear you in mind should I have any projects in need of marketing and design.
Siôn Hamilton, Foyles (W&G Foyle Ltd)
Great workshop! Came away with lots of ideas and useful information
Rachel Ciaccia, JEGS
Wow what an amazing workshop. I feel like I gained so much knowledge that motivated me to sit down last night and really define who is my audience and how I want them to see me. I look forward to working together with you to create a successful marketing strategy for Posh Nosh spice blends. Thank you.
Joanne Rolfe-Cogger, Posh Nosh Spice Blends
Thanks Emily, it was fab, I’m much clearer on how I should proceed marketing Tink’s Tipsy Tavern.
Sharon Longshaw (aka Tinks), Tinks Tipsy Tavern
Very informative as always!
Larry Solomons, Angel Homes & Lettings
Well done my brilliant daughter!
Apart from Emily’s mum, who didn’t attend the course but shared her thoughts on social media, we can take from this that everyone found it useful.
If you would like to attend a workshop in the future, please let us know what subjects you would be interested in by contacting us, and we can look in to running this course again or others in the future in association with The Hive, Southend.
